Jillian Lewis

Meet co-founder, Jillian, who has a has a passion for science and education. Her policing background allows her to leverage her unique experience to help bring the OAFDC to life!

Christine Schoonderwoerd

Christine brings a wealth of knowledge from her wide range of experience within the agricultural sector, including her work with WFS and volunteer contributions with Farm and Food Care Ontario.

Steve Dolson

Steve brings a wealth of agriculture knowledge and volunteer pursuits that exemplify his passion for agriculture and rural communities. This experience will be an important asset for the OAFDC.

Barry Crean

Barry brings vast experience with large organizations - including the Ontario Science Centre - and capital fundraising campaigns. His skills will contribute to building the OAFDC and innovative education opportunities.

Sylvia Behrns

Sylvia brings an abundance of expertise to the board with her background in accounting serving a multitude of businesses, including those in the agricultural industry. She is also a past board member for United Way of Perth-Huron.

Cassie Greidanus

Cassie is the Conservation Education Supervisor for Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority, where she engages students and community members in hands-on learning about the natural environment, with a strong focus on agricultural and watershed education.

Elizabeth Johnston

Elizabeth is a local producer and coordinator with 4-H Ontario. She is deeply involved in our community and the agriculture industry through several organizations. Elizabeth brings a passion for agriculture, science and learning to the OAFDC.

Dave Bray

Dave brings significant knowledge from his experience working in private land and agricultural stewardship with the Provincial Government over a career spanning 33 years. His passion and ongoing volunteer work related to rural and agricultural communities will bring significant contributions to the OAFDC.

Claudia Prescott

Claudia is an educator with the Avon Maitland District School Board and AgScape Ontario, the voice of agriculture in the classroom. Claudia brings a rich background in education, paired with a passion for promoting educational agri-food experiences.

Marlin Stoltz

Marlin Stoltz is a seasoned veteran in the Agricultural Community, with 43 years of volunteering and Agribusiness experience. As the President & Chief Strategy Officer of Equipment Ontario, Marlin’s company provides farm equipment & solutions to Growers and Producers in Central Ontario, supporting their efforts to feed families across Ontario and beyond.

Dawne Boersen

Dawne holds a Masters of Education degree from the University of Toronto, and has spent 32 years in the education field, as Teacher, Coordinator of Curriculum, Elementary School Principal and Supervisory Officer.

Susan Murray

Susan’s time with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness, as well as the Ontario Science Centre, offers a unique blend of agriculture and public education expertise. Her background in communications will support the Board’s efforts to engage broad audiences on the value of agriculture and agri-food in the lives of everyone.
